Story line:
Slip into a pair of overalls and try your hand at running a farm! From tending to the fields where your cows graze to gathering eggs for sale at the town market, Farm Frenzy is as stimulating as the real thing, only you won't have to experience the nasty smells! You will, however, be required to invest the money you earn in new equipment. Building a cheese dairy, for example, allows you to process your milk on the spot and make even more cash!
To beat a level in Farm Frenzy, you must complete a specific task, such as producing a certain number of eggs. Each new level is more challenging than the last, so you must increase the capacity of your warehouse and improve the performance of your production facilities. You can even buy a larger truck capable of delivering more goods to market! All of this makes dealing with the occasional bear easier. Featuring compelling and enjoyable gameplay, Farm Frenzy lets you give Old MacDonald a run for the money!
Over 45 levels to beat Five animals to care for Nine farm products to sell Six buildings to purchase
Graphics:
Before I get into the nitty gritty of how this game works, I've just got to take a moment here to comment on the graphics. *So cute!* The graphics have a very CGI animated feeling to them, which isn't too strange, considering that's exactly what they are! LOL They move effortlessly over your screen, and even when items are in mid air flying to their destination, they are crisp and clear. Attention to detail isn't lost on me, I love the graphics in this game.
Game Play:
As a nice surprise, there was no annoying introduction in this game. You turn it on, enter your name, check out the developer credits (only if you want to), set your options, and you're on your way! The tutorial starts immediately, with tool tips walking you through every step. You'll see this in the screen shots I'm using in the walk through later in this review.
There are enough tips included in the game for you to be able to complete all the levels without too much frustration. The only thing the game doesn't tell you is that you're going to have to remember the best screens for making money, and earning bonus stars, because you'll need to buy upgrades in the store to progress through the levels.
If you progress faster than you've been buying upgrades, you're stuck playing previous screens over and over again until you've earned enough "stars" to buy the upgrades you need.
Something I noticed through the graphics, that isn't really mentioned anywhere in the game, are the houses you see above. On your map, you follow the blue disks (each represents a level of the game) to track your progress. As you complete them, each one adds on to the property surrounding them. The houses you see above aren't even there when you first start the game. This next screen shot is what you see when you turn on the game for the very first time:
See the difference? In only three levels, you've made a lot of progress in building up the property! By the time you finish all the levels, the property looks like this:
One of the things I love most about this game is the fact that, even when you've finished all the levels, you can still go back to any of them to play them again. This is especially rewarding because by the end of the game, you've upgraded all your tools and buildings. Playing the first few screens over again with all the upgrades available is what I call JUSTICE. LOL
There are also awards to be won! Throughout gameplay, you're awarded for meeting certain milestones. As you're about to see in the screenshot below, I've still got some work to do! LOL A list of what all the awards are follows the screenshot.
For completing all levels in the game
For taking your time
For catching 100 bears
For collecting 500 goods
For buying 100 animals
For 1,000,000 coins in the bank
For completing three levels without hints
For completing 10 levels without the loss of animals
For completely upgrading all of your buildings
For completing a level without clicking any goods
For filling all of the shelves in the storehouse
For earning all of the awards
For completing three levels without selling bears
For having seven bears in the field
For completing a level without catching any bears
For earning a gold medal on all of the levels
I fell in love with this game as soon as I started feeding my animals! LOL I am so happy that it's got such a high level of "re-playability". I haven't grown tired of it, nor do I believe I will ... anytime soon. In fact, I tend to avoid playing it because once I turn it on, the hours just fly by! There really isn't anything I don't love about this game. And to think that I was able to get the full version for only $6.99. Thank you, Game Club!!!
Overall Rating
Walk through and TIPS are in the next post, so keep reading!
When you start the game, you get thrown right into the action, so I'll do the same here by helping you to get aquainted with the gameplay screen.
1. On the upper left corner, you'll find your the animals that you'll be able to purchase. As you gain enough money during gameplay to purchase each one, they will light up here. Ducks are $100, Sheep are $1000, Cows are $10,000, Dogs are $2600, and Cats are $2500.
Ducks lay eggs, sheep produce wool, cows produce milk, dogs keep the bears away from your other animals, and cats ... cats are so cool! The cats act as little collectors by running around collecting the eggs, wool and products you've manufactured. This is a great help when there's a lot going on... it frees you from having to collect all that stuff on top of managing the manufacturing! Cats are definately worth purchasing as soon as you can.
2. In the right hand corner, you will see your goals. Clicking this box will give you an in-game overview of what you need to accomplish on your current level. Just above your goal, you'll see the timer, and the goal for Goal and/or Silver level. Both are determined by the amount of time you spend completing the goals for that level. Here's a screen shot of what the in-game goal screen looks like after you click it during gameplay.
Shows you how many of each chosen animal or product you must make or buy to complete the level.
Shows you the amount of time you have to obtain GOLD status for that level, and the amount of bonus STARS you'll receive for doing so.
Shows you the amount of time you have to obtain SILVER status for that level, and the amount of bonus STARS you'll receive for doing so.
3. This area is where you'll be keeping track of your money earned, and the progress your truck is making on it's way to town to sell your goods.
4. This is your storehouse. The goods you collect from your animals and your buildings are stored here until you load them onto your truck to bring to town to sell.
5. This is where you'll find you car (truck). Clicking on your truck brings up the "Dispatch Goods" screen shown above.
Your car upgrades are very important, the changes in the truck's storage space is shown below, but perhaps more important than that is the fact that the truck really speeds up a LOT as you upgrade it. This makes those trips to town a little less painful, and it becomes easier to accumulate money, faster.
A note about your truck... and all the other upgrades such as your storehouse (size), your well, and all the buildings. Each time you start a new level, you begin with the basic car, the basic storehouse, etc. You must upgrade the items as you play the level.
What? Didn't we already pay for the upgrade in the store? Yes, but when you first start the game, you can't upgrade your items at all! Spending your bonus stars on upgrades is what makes it possible for you to upgrade your items during gameplay!
This button won't appear until you've used your bonus stars to purchase the upgrade through the store.
6. This is your well. You need to water your grass so that you can feed your animals. The well is one of the items you can upgrade in the store, and once you've obtained the top level, the well operates by itself. After upgrading to the best well during each level of play, you won't have to plant grass anymore... the well does all the work for you! This is an AWESOME thing! LOL
This is what the full version of the well looks like
This is the well you start out with
See the orange dots? Those show you how much water you have left before you have to click the well to purchase more. As you upgrade your well, the price of refills goes down, while the amount of water included increases. When you've fully upgraded your well, you only have to make sure you have enough money to keep it running. Since it runs on "automatic" from that point forward, it just automatically drains a small amount of money from your total every few seconds. Otherwise, you no longer have to click the ground to grow grass and keep your animals fed! Yay!!
7. This area is something I came up with after playing this game for a while... The area outlined here, (the box above the storehouse) is the best location to grow grass in. The bears are less likely to drop down ontop of your animals if you keep the grass growing here.
The bears can be nerve wracking, if you let them gang up on you. I upgraded my "cage" right away because the basic cage takes a LOT of continual clicking to build around the bear. As you upgrade your cage, it takes a lot LESS clicks to lock him up so you can sell him!
Stinkin' bears... they love to toss your really expensive animals! LOL
Remember to keep your animals far away from the well, because that's where the bears seem to love to drop in. Beware, there are sometimes MANY MANY bears that drop in all at once, so make sure you've upgraded your storehouse ... you'll need the room to store those big bad bears! Bears sell for $100 each. If you leave a bear locked up too long without sending it to your storehouse (this is common if your storehouse is full)... then he will break out of the cage and run away. The bears that break out and run away are no threat to your animals anymore... they just wanna get outta there! LOL
Here are some of my screenshots, after having completed all levels, but not yet having GOLD status on all of them. Of course you know I want all the awards! LOL
This screenshot shows ALL buildings and items fully upgraded. The black arrows show you the related buildings, as shown in #1. (2) is the wool progression. Sheep > Wool > Spinnery > Weavery ... while (3) is the milk progression. Cows > Milk > Churn > Cheese
The end products are the ones to sell for the big cash! The end products are : eggs end up as Cupcakes, wool ends up as linen, milk ends up as Cheese.... don't sell your ingredients until you've condensed them into their "end product". (Unless you have to cuz you need the cash!)
As of now, not yet all GOLD, here's what the end of my map looks like. Pretty houses so far, huh? I'm thinking they'll get prettier as I earn more GOLD.
And the store? Here's what it looks like after you've bought all possible upgrades.
I'll update this thread as I earn more awards and GOLD levels.
I hope you found this helpful. Farm Frenzy is now my favorite game!
Please feel free to post to this thread and share any comments or tips you might have also!
How do I send the bears to my storehouse? I can't egt the cages to stay around them either. I click them several times, but the cage continues to disappear. Help, please. I really like this game.

Hi there, and welcome to the site!
I don't know what stage of the game you're in, but I can tell you that the basic cage that you start out with is a little tricky... you have to click the bears really fast over and over again to make the cage appear... and when it does appear, it's not yet complete. Keep clicking really fast, and the cage will continue to build around the bear.
Eventually, it will completely surround him, and he won't be able to move. At that point, another click on the bear will send the caged animal to your storehouse... but you have to have enough room for him. He's BIG, so he will take up more than half of the storehouse that you start out with. If you already have a good number of eggs or other "goods" in your storehouse, the bear won't fit, and he'll just stay caged until he breaks free.
If the cage disappears, my guess is that you didn't click enough to completely build the cage. Try clicking faster... and don't stop until he's stuck in a full cage.
Let us know if this helps. I'm going to go start a new game so I have the starter cage to see if I can figure out why the cage is disappearing on you. I'll post again if I find anything out.
I love this game too... hope this helps! I'd be thrilled to have you post an intro so we can get to know you... who knows, you may like this site enough to come back and join us in our arcade tournaments sometime! Edited to add: I've figured it out! There are screenshots in the next post for you, with some tips too! Let us know how you're doing!

After electricid's question about catching and storing the bears, I went back to my starter game to see if I could recreate the "disappearing" cage problem... and I did!
The cage that you start out with is made of bamboo. It takes a lot of clicking to get the cage to surround the bear completely. If you slow down your clicking on the bear, the cage will digress in it's building. If you stop clicking the bear too soon, it will disappear!
Here's what the starter cage looks like when you click the first time... notice how it's transparent, and is really only the four corners of the cage:
Now, when you continue to click really fast on the bear, the cage will build... it will add one bamboo bar to the cage at a time, until finally, you've captured the bear in a full cage. Here's how that looks:
Only when you've completely caged the bear, are you able to click it just one more time to send it to your storage bin. In the beginning stages of the game, your storage bin is really small, so if you have "goods" in your storage bin, you may not have room for a bear. Here's a shot of how much room ONE bear takes up in your basic storagehouse:
So you see, if you have ANY goods in your storagehouse, along with a bear... at this point in the game (without any upgrades to the storagehouse)... well, there's not enough room for another bear. Send it off in your truck to sell it in town.
Game Tip: If you have bears caught in cages that you can't fit in your storage bin, send whatever you have in storage to town in your truck... as soon as you send the truck out, your storage is empty again and you'll have room for that bear! Send the truck, then click the bear to send it to storage. You'll be stuck with a bear in your storage bin until your truck returns again, but it's better than losing the $100, which can be so helpful in the early stages of any level.
As for the disappearing cage, it's my best guess that you just need to click a little faster on that big bad bear, and don't stop until he's caged! I hope this helps, let us know!
I love this game as well and I have also noticed the hours slipping away...
One award has stumped me - #10 in your review - not clicking on any goods. I've tried the level where all you need is a sheep - it starts with only a cat - I let the cat get all the eggs - I don't get the award. I've tried it with and without processing the eggs. Do you have to get gold or silver on the level to get this award? Any ideas? I almost got silver on it the last time, so I'll have to try tweaking it a little but still don't know if it will work! I only lack one level in gold (b4 trying for #10) and the #10 award - so yeah, I've played it quite a bit!
Thanks for the review. You did a very thorough job!
Wow! All but one gold level huh? Sheesh, I've gotta get working on mine! LOL You know, I was always puzzled by award ten also... but your idea of letting the cat get all the goods... wow! I dunno how long it would have taken me to think of that! I'm not sure if you have to achieve silver or gold for that award to work!
For completing a level without clicking any goods
Hmm. Now... you know I have to go try this, right? LOL One trick I've discovered is that when you're going for gold, near the end of a level it's helpful to sell your animals for that last bit of needed cash (where a cash goal is the only thing left). Ooooooooo... I just had a thought! What if you use that level where you only need a sheep... but sell the cat, and BEARS until you have enough money to buy the sheep??? That way, there are no "goods" involved at all! Maybe that's it? I'm going to go try it! LOL
P.s. I left your duplicate post as edited instead of deleting it, so it would still count towards your posts... now you can try our arcade games if you'd like to! We're having some fun touraments in there. Stick around, I may need to pick your brain about some of the other awards lol.
When you are trying for "a level with clicking no goods" are you still catching the bears? Make sure you cage them but don't put them in the storehouse. I believe that is your problem.
