Re: Paradise Pet Salon
Can I just say... I love this game! It's cute, challenging on each level, and it's not something that I'll get bored with any time soon. The most interesting aspect of this game (so far) is the opening of new shops.

As in the "tycoon" type games (which I'm not really a fan of, due to the whole process of actually building the business - the devil's in the details afterall)... you open new shops as you earn money with your current shops. After upgrading, and purchasing the necessary equiptment for your current store, eventually you can operate purely for profit. This is when you start to stockpile enough money to buy the next store.

When you get a new store, it's empty. You have a strategy decision to make at this point... have enough money stockpiled to purchase the new equiptment that you need, or sell the equiptment from prior levels (*stores*), and use the proceeds to furnish your new store.

I'm still playing this game for the first time, and I'm on my fifth (out of ten, I think, I'll have to look later, I have too many programs open right now lol) store. After starting a new store with what equitment I could afford, while leaving the prior store in tact... I got anxious, and didn't want to progress so slowly. Curious to see if I would be able to sell the prior store's equiptment, I was happy to find out that I could sell all but three stations!

After you buy a new store, you are able to click the "Store" button, and use the arrow keys next to the picture of your store to navigate between the different shops you've had so far. Go to a prior store, sell the equiptment you choose, and then navigate back to your current store. Use the money you gained from the sale of your equiptment to purchase what you need for your current store. I've chosen to fully stock new stores with upgraded stations and upgraded chairs.

I gain much more money per customer once I upgrade the interior design and flooring. I use the profit from my first couple of rounds of operation to upgrade the interior and flooring.

I figured this was probably the way to go, since the game didn't penalize me in any way for bringing prior stores to the bare operating minimum. Unlike some of the Tycoon type games, the prior shops where not in continuous operation while I tend to the new store. There was no profit or loss being recorded, so the presence of the equiptment in prior stores seems irrelevant.

Of course, I realize that this may make a difference later on in the game. There may be consequences to not having fully stocked stores. If I find out more, I'll post.

If you're playing this game, and notice something that I haven't mentioned here, please feel free to register and post your experiences!
